Personality: Tenacious – Liz is, at times, aggravatingly stubborn in character. Once Liz gets a glimpse of Max Evans’ memories as he heals her, she believes she is set on a path to finding her sister’s killer; this is her sister whom she had previously thought dead in a car crash. She stays on said path, unshakeable in her beliefs, until she painfully extracts the dark truth of the situation – Her sister did not die in a car accident, nor was she killed by the man who saved her, but by yet another alien with a much looser moral code. Even as she finds out the truth, Liz won’t let go of the issue until the man has been brought to some kind of justice in her eyes.

Unforgiving – While Liz has many wonderful people in her life deserving of her love, there are those deserving of her scorn. When Liz was a teenager, her sister, Rosa, had a problem with pills and so did her mother. Her sister would skim pills off of her mother’s supply and her mother would pretend not to notice. Eventually, her mother became overwhelmed by the situation and instead of doing the right, decent thing and getting Rosa into rehab, Liz’s mother left their family on the night of Liz’s prom. Even as Liz’s mother returned to them years later, Liz still held a grudge against the woman and felt justified in doing so.

Dishonest – When keeping the company of aliens in a human world, one must learn the art of keeping a secret, and in order to keep a good secret one must lie well. For the past year or so, Liz has been lying up a storm, but one can assume from the way she lies that she’s always had a dormant talent for it. Maria DeLuca, her best friend, was romantically involved with one of said aliens and Liz effectively lied and kept secrets from her, even when it meant messing with her mind. Maria only recently found the truth out and the results were ugly, but Liz had only slight remorse and no regrets.

Loyal – Liz is extremely loyal to those who are close to her. She goes to extreme measures for her friends and family. First, there’s her sister. Liz never rested until Rosa’s killer was found and brought to justice, and when Rosa was brought back to life with alien DNA Liz took the time to guide her and help nurture her newfound alien powers. Then, there’s her boyfriend, Max. Max’s heart was practically fried when he brought Rosa back to life, but Liz used her knowledge of alien anatomy and what she’d learned in school to operate on Max. A friend built a pacemaker to help, and Max was saved! Lastly, there’s her father. Liz has taken on more responsibilities at the Crashdown Café as co-owner so that she can sponsor her father as he becomes a legal immigrant.


Powers and Abilities: Liz is a very intelligent biomedical engineer who is fluent in both Spanish and English.
